These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to any customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). By requesting, scheduling, or receiving service, you agree to these Terms.
Our standard labor / diagnostic rate is $150 per hour, billed in increments determined by the job type. Diagnostic time, travel time, and repair time are billable.
Labor charges begin once the technician starts diagnosis or repair work.
All estimates are based on an initial inspection and may change if additional problems are found.
By approving an estimate verbally, electronically, or in writing, you authorize South Carolina Mobile Mechanic to perform the approved work and agree to pay the full amount.
No additional work will be performed without customer approval.
Payment is due in full upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept cash, card, and approved electronic payment methods.
Unpaid balances may be subject to collection actions, late fees, and legal remedies.
We may supply new, remanufactured, or aftermarket parts unless otherwise requested.
Parts provided by the customer or purchased online at customers request (Amazon, eBay, RockAuto, etc.) are installed at the customer’s risk and are not covered by any warranty. if South Carolina Mobile Mechanic assists in locating, ordering, or purchasing these online parts on the customer’s behalf, such parts are still considered online or customer-requested parts and are not covered by any warranty unless specifically stated otherwise on the receipt.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic provides a 1-year or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on both parts and labor under the following conditions:
This warranty applies only to:

Cancellations within 24 hours or failure to be present at the appointment may result in a service or trip fee.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for:
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
By booking or receiving service from South Carolina Mobile Mechanic, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Any changes will become effective immediately upon being posted, published, or applied to new service orders.
The version of the Terms in effect at the time service is scheduled or performed will govern that service. Continued use of South Carolina Mobile Mechanic’s services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to any customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). By requesting, scheduling, or receiving service, you agree to these Terms.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic provides mobile automotive diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and roadside mechanical services at locations chosen by the customer, including homes, workplaces, parking lots, and other approved service areas. Services may include, but are not limited to, engine diagnostics, electrical system testing, brake repairs, suspension work, cooling system service, battery replacement, starting and charging system repairs, drivetrain service, and general mechanical repairs.
All services are performed based on the visible and testable condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection. Because many automotive systems are interconnected and certain components cannot be fully evaluated without disassembly, some problems may not be discovered until work has begun. South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for failures or defects that were not reasonably detectable during the initial diagnosis.
Our technicians perform repairs using industry-standard tools, procedures, and parts. However, mobile service inherently limits access to specialized equipment that may be available in a full-service repair shop. In certain cases, a vehicle may be deemed unsafe to operate, require shop-level equipment, or be unsuitable for mobile repair. In such cases, we reserve the right to decline or stop service and recommend transport to a repair facility.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic does not guarantee that any repair will restore the vehicle to factory condition, correct all existing problems, or prevent future failures. Vehicles may have pre-existing wear, hidden damage, corrosion, previous poor repairs, or manufacturer defects that affect performance and reliability beyond the scope of the services provided.
By requesting service, the customer acknowledges that automotive repair involves mechanical risk and uncertainty, and agrees that South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is only responsible for the specific services authorized and performed.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic charges a flat labor rate of $150 per hour for all diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and service work. Labor is billed based on the actual time required to perform services, including but not limited to vehicle inspection, diagnosis, testing, disassembly, repair, reassembly, and verification of proper operation.
Labor time begins when the technician starts any diagnostic or hands-on work on the vehicle and continues until the service is completed, paused, or stopped at the customer’s request or due to conditions beyond our control.
The hourly rate applies to:
Minimum labor charges may apply.
Some jobs may be quoted as a flat-rate repair based on standard labor guides or prior experience. Flat-rate pricing represents the agreed total labor charge for that specific job, regardless of whether the job takes more or less time than estimated.
If unexpected conditions are discovered—such as rust, seized bolts, damaged threads, previous improper repairs, or hidden component failures—additional labor may be required. Any additional labor charges will be disclosed and approved before continuing work.
By authorizing service, the customer agrees to the $150 per hour labor rate and understands that final labor charges are based on the time actually required to complete the authorized work.
All estimates provided by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic are based on an initial inspection, diagnostic evaluation, and the information available at the time the estimate is created. Because many vehicle problems cannot be fully identified without disassembly, testing, or continued diagnosis, all estimates are good-faith approximations and not guaranteed final prices.
During the course of repairs, additional issues may be discovered that were not visible or reasonably detectable during the initial inspection. These may include, but are not limited to, hidden mechanical damage, worn or corroded components, electrical faults, fluid contamination, prior improper repairs, or manufacturer defects. If additional work is required, the customer will be notified and provided with a revised estimate before any additional labor or parts are installed.
By approving an estimate—whether verbally, by text message, email, digital signature, or any other electronic communication—you authorize South Carolina Mobile Mechanic to perform the listed repairs and agree to pay the full cost of the approved services, including labor at the stated hourly rate, parts, fees, and applicable taxes.
If the customer declines additional recommended repairs after work has begun, the customer remains responsible for all labor and parts already incurred up to that point.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for delays, incomplete repairs, or vehicle inoperability caused by a customer’s decision to decline recommended repairs or authorize only partial service.
All charges for services performed by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic are due in full immediately upon completion of service, unless otherwise agreed to in writing before work begins. This includes all labor, parts, diagnostic time, travel time, service fees, and applicable taxes.
We accept cash, credit or debit cards, and approved electronic payment methods. Payment must be successfully processed before the vehicle is considered released back to the customer.
If payment is not received at the time service is completed, South Carolina Mobile Mechanic reserves the right to:
If a payment is disputed, declined, reversed, or charged back, the customer remains responsible for the full balance owed, including any additional processing, collection, or legal fees incurred as a result.
Deposits may be required for certain jobs or for parts orders. Deposits are non-refundable once parts have been ordered, sourced, or a technician has been dispatched.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of warranty coverage and the refusal of any future service until the account is brought current.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic may supply new, remanufactured, or aftermarket parts as required to complete vehicle repairs, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise in writing. Parts are selected based on availability, reliability, and suitability for the repair.
All parts supplied by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic remain the property of the Company until payment is received in full.
Customers may choose to supply their own parts or request assistance in sourcing parts from online retailers such as Amazon, eBay, RockAuto, or similar vendors. Even if South Carolina Mobile Mechanic assists in locating, ordering, or purchasing these online parts on the customer’s behalf, such parts are still considered online or customer-requested parts and are not covered by any warranty unless specifically stated otherwise on the receipt.
All customer-supplied or online-purchased parts are installed strictly at the customer’s risk. South Carolina Mobile Mechanic makes no guarantees regarding the quality, compatibility, durability, or reliability of such parts.
If a customer-supplied or online part is defective, incorrect, or fails before or after installation, the customer is responsible for all additional labor required to diagnose, remove, replace, or reinstall the part, as well as any related service time.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for delays, vehicle downtime, or additional costs caused by incorrect, defective, unavailable, or delayed parts supplied by third-party vendors.
Only parts purchased locally in-store by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic qualify for warranty coverage as outlined in the Warranty section of these Terms.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic provides a limited warranty of one (1) year or twelve thousand (12,000) miles, whichever occurs first, on both parts and labor under the conditions outlined below.

Automotive repair involves complex, interdependent systems that may be affected by age, wear, prior repairs, environmental exposure, and manufacturer design. While South Carolina Mobile Mechanic performs repairs using professional standards and accepted automotive practices, no repair or service can guarantee the long-term performance, reliability, safety, or drivability of any vehicle.
A repair is intended only to address the specific condition identified and authorized at the time of service. The completion of a repair does not mean that:
Pre-existing wear, hidden damage, corrosion, manufacturing defects, and unrelated system failures may cause additional problems after service is performed. South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for any future failures, breakdowns, or conditions not directly related to the specific parts and labor covered under the authorized repair.
By authorizing service, the customer acknowledges and accepts that vehicle repairs carry inherent risk and that continued vehicle operation is the customer’s responsibility.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the vehicle, including year, make, model, mileage, and a clear description of the problem. Failure to disclose known issues, warning lights, prior repairs, or vehicle modifications may affect the accuracy of diagnosis and repair.
The customer must ensure the vehicle is located in a safe, legal, and accessible work area that allows the technician to perform repairs. This includes providing adequate space, lighting, ventilation, and permission to work on the property. South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for delays, incomplete repairs, or cancellations caused by unsafe, restricted, or inaccessible work locations.
The customer is responsible for keeping all pets, children, and bystanders away from the work area. Any injury or property damage caused by interference, distractions, or unsafe conditions is the customer’s responsibility.
The customer must ensure the vehicle has sufficient access to keys, parking clearance, and any required authorization to work on the vehicle. If the vehicle is locked, blocked, or unavailable at the scheduled time, additional fees may apply.
The customer agrees not to operate the vehicle in an unsafe condition and to follow all post-repair instructions and recommendations. Failure to do so may result in further damage and void warranty coverage.
By requesting service, the customer acknowledges that they are the legal owner or authorized representative of the vehicle and have full authority to approve repairs and charges.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic schedules technicians and travel time based on customer appointments. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled service time.
If a customer cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, is not present when the technician arrives, or fails to provide access to the vehicle, a cancellation or trip fee may be charged to cover lost time, travel, and scheduling disruption.
If the technician arrives and the vehicle is not available, unsafe to work on, blocked, or otherwise inaccessible, the appointment may be considered a no-show, and applicable fees may apply.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic reserves the right to refuse future service to customers with repeated cancellations, no-shows, or failure to provide timely access to the vehicle.
These fees do not apply to warranty work that has been properly scheduled and confirmed.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to the services performed. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of use of the vehicle, loss of income, loss of business, inconvenience, rental car costs, towing, or any other financial or personal losses.
We are not responsible for:
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic’s total liability for any claim, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
By requesting service, the customer agrees that South Carolina Mobile Mechanic shall not be held liable for any damages beyond the direct cost of the authorized repair.
These Terms of Service, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the services provided by South Carolina Mobile Mechanic, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms or the services provided must be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located within the State of South Carolina. The customer agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
By scheduling, requesting, authorizing, or receiving any service from South Carolina Mobile Mechanic, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
Acceptance may be provided verbally, by text message, email, electronic signature, online booking, or any other form of electronic or written confirmation. The customer further agrees that such electronic or verbal authorization is legally binding and carries the same force as a written signature.
If the customer does not agree to these Terms, they must decline service before any work begins. Authorizing or allowing work to proceed constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
South Carolina Mobile Mechanic reserves the right to modify, update, amend, or replace these Terms of Service at any time, with or without prior notice. Changes may be made to reflect updates in business practices, pricing, service policies, warranty terms, legal requirements, or operational procedures.
The Terms of Service in effect at the time a service appointment is scheduled, authorized, or performed shall govern that service. Any updated version will apply to all future services.
By continuing to request, schedule, or receive services from South Carolina Mobile Mechanic after any changes have been made, the customer agrees to be bound by the revised Terms of Service.
